Necklift

Reversing time.

The Necklift addresses overall sagging of the neck or the area under the chin, while simultaneously sculpting the facial contour and reducing wrinkles.

Signs of aging often appear first on the neck, which serves as an extension of the face and décolletage. Tightening the neck area leads to a more youthful appearance, while a natural result boosts confidence, improving the overall aesthetic of the face and the surrounding area.

THE PROCEDURE

A Necklift is the ideal procedure when there is sagging or wrinkling in the lower part of the face—specifically the neck and submental area (under the chin). It combines perfectly with other procedures for a holistic approach to treating the signs of time.

It significantly improves the appearance of the neck, restores the jawline through tissue repositioning, eliminates wrinkles, and addresses laxity while tightening the neck muscles, guaranteeing a long-lasting and natural result.

Typically, incisions are made around the ears; however, in some cases, a small incision under the chin may be required to remove excess fat and tighten the muscles. This corrects any tendency for a “double chin” or heavy skin sagging in the area. Additionally, visible vertical bands (platysmal bands) on the neck, which are prominent in many individuals, can also be corrected.

COMBINED PROCEDURES

A Necklift is very frequently combined with a Facelift, as it is rare for sagging to be localized only in the neck area. It also pairs well with other treatments for the face, neck, or décolletage.

Furthermore, since neck laxity is often due to a lack of underlying bone support, it can be combined with Genioplasty (Chin Augmentation)—either with a specialized implant or, in milder cases, with hydroxyapatite crystals. It is almost always combined with microliposuction of the neck area.

FAQ

The aging process does not stop with surgery. Therefore, the accurate answer is that after the procedure, you will permanently look 8–10 years younger than your chronological age.

It is relatively rare for sagging to be localized strictly in the neck area without affecting the lower face. However, in cases where the face remains firm, the procedure can certainly be performed individually.
