Breast Augmentation

Empowering female confidence.

Breast augmentation is the most popular procedure in plastic surgery. It is closely linked to female self-confidence, the enhancement of femininity, and the desire for a firmer, fuller bust.

Together with Dr. Drakotos and his specialized team, you will select the appropriate technique, the ideal size, and the best implant type for your body, aiming for a natural and attractive result.

THE PROCEDURE

Your choice is centered on your safety and satisfaction. Dr. Drakotos will discuss every detail with you, considering your expectations and the unique characteristics of your body.

To help you visualize the outcome, we offer trials of various implant types and sizes (round, anatomical/tear-drop, ergonomic), as well as the cutting-edge Crisalix 3D simulation service. This allows you to form a complete picture before making your final choice.

In our clinic, we exclusively use latest-generation implants that minimize risks and guarantee a safe, natural-looking result. Patient safety and the reliability of our materials are our primary priorities.

In some cases, breast volume can be increased without implants through “fat grafting,” where the patient’s own fat is harvested via liposuction, processed, and injected into the breast.

COMBINED PROCEDURES

Breast Augmentation can be combined with a Breast Lift (Mastopexy) or fat grafting to restore volume, particularly in the upper pole. It is also a core component of the Mommy Makeover and can be performed alongside a Tummy Tuck, Brachioplasty, or Liposuction.

SURGICAL INFORMATION

RESULT
Immediate increase in size. Initially, implants may sit high and feel firm. Over approximately 3 months, tissues soften, muscles relax, and implants settle into their natural position.
PAIN
Variable. Oral pain medication may be required for 2–5 days.
POST-OPERATIVE PROTECTION
A specialized compression bra must be worn for 4–6 weeks.
STITCH REMOVAL
All sutures are absorbable; no removal is necessary.
ACTIVITIES
Usually performed as an outpatient procedure. No hospital stay is required. Daily activities can be resumed immediately. Showering is permitted 2 days after surgery.
EXERCISE
No lifting over 10–12kg for 6 weeks. Stepper or elliptical machines are allowed after 4 weeks, but running and heavy weights are permitted only after 6 weeks. Return to work is typically in 5–7 days.

Clinic visits at 1 week, 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 3 months.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

Implant Placement

Depending on the case, implants can be placed: Above the pectoral muscle (subglandular). Beneath the fascia of the muscle (subfascial). Beneath the pectoral muscle (submuscular). Dual Plane: Partially under the muscle and partially under the gland for the most natural transition.
Incisions are placed either around the nipple (periareolar) or under the breast fold (inframammary), ensuring they are hidden in natural creases or color-transition areas.
The surgery lasts 1 to 1.5 hours and is performed under general anesthesia.
New methods ensure that breastfeeding capability and nipple sensitivity are preserved, providing a result so natural it does not "betray" the surgical intervention.

FAQ

The final shape is usually achieved after 3 months, once the implants have settled and the swelling has fully subsided.

Most patients return to work within 5–7 days, provided their job does not involve heavy physical labor.

Pain varies per individual. Most patients report a feeling of pressure or “tightness” and use pain relief for only the first few days.
